The Patient Pathway
1. First Specialist Appointment
At the first specialist appointment you will meet with your specialist radiation oncologist to discuss the proposed radiotherapy treatment approach and answer any questions and concerns you may have.
Should you decide to proceed with treatment at Auckland Radiation Oncology (ARO), your radiation oncologist or an ARO staff member will give you a copy of My Treatment Booklet. To avoid possible delays it will be important to send us the completed patient registration and patient health history forms as soon as possible. These can be found at the back of this booklet or be downloaded in resources, please scroll below.
My Treatment Booklet is designed to share important information specific to receiving radiation treatment at ARO. It covers what to expect before, during and after radiation therapy treatment.
